Frequently asked questions
Everything worth knowing before you start.
You fill in your background — age, education, work experience, skills, and interests. Tanvil sends that to Claude, Anthropic's AI model, which analyzes it and returns a ranked list of realistic career paths, including ones outside your current field, along with why each one fits and what skills you'd need to build.
A human coach is valuable but expensive and slow to schedule — typically $100–$300 per session, booked a week out. Tanvil is AI-personalized to your specific background, available any time, and pairs its advice with an actual day-by-day or phased task list you check off, rather than notes from a conversation.
No — deliberately. Tanvil gives general guidance on the type of programs, certifications, or training worth looking into for a given path, but it won't name specific institutions. Recommendations for degrees and program quality vary too much by your location, budget, and goals for a general AI answer to be responsible advice.
Once you search for and select a specific job, Tanvil builds a literal day-by-day plan: what skill to work on, what to apply to, and what to prepare, each day. At the end of each day you log what you actually did, and periodic check-ins let you tell it what's changed — the plan re-generates the remaining days around that.
Tanvil is a monthly subscription — see current pricing on the pricing page. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period, and there's no long-term contract.
Yes. Your profile and generated plans are stored under your account and protected by row-level access controls, so only you can read them. We don't sell your data.
